Until the everybody understand  is defused we will very quickly be back to another confrontation told by Nickolay Mladenov.

I expect all parties to do their best right now. Right now to prevent this escalation.

Mr Mladenov called specifically on Hamas and Islamic Jihad -the two largest militant factions in Gaza -to end the launch of rockets and prevent attempts by palestinians to breach the border fence.

After last week's projectile attacks ,Israel resumed air attack on Gaza, arguing that it will take necessary action to stop kites & balloons being flown over the border.

At least 179 dead as Japan reels from its worst flood in decades

Japan is still reeling from one of its worst flooding disasters in decades, which has killed at least 179 people and left 70 missing.
Torrential rains triggered landslides and floods in central and western areas. More than 8 million people have been ordered to evacuate their homes.
The rain has relented but the country is still struggling to deal with the extensive damage left in its wake.
This is the highest death toll caused by rainfall in Japan since 1982.

'Our memories are all gone'

Some 270,000 households across the country have had their water supplies cut, and thousands of other homes remain without electricity.
The prefectures of Okayama, Hiroshima and Yamaguchi were the hardest hit, with pictures showing extensive damage especially in Okayama.
"People believe Okayama is very safe, nobody thought that [a disaster] would happen to this city," Yusuke Fujii, who lives in Osaka but travelled to Okayama to visit his grandmother, told the BBC.
"Food is in short supply. We have to eat instant ramen because the supermarkets don't have much food. We can't get much information about flooded roads, evacuation centre and where to get food," said the 24-year-old, who is still in Okayama.
Some 8.63m people across 23 prefectures have been ordered to evacuate. Thousands are currently living in temporary shelter in school halls and gymnasiums.

About 300 people spent the night at the Okada Elementary School in Okayama prefecture, with many of them sleeping on blue mats in the school's gym.
One family sleeping there has had to send their young daughter away to live with relatives, after she became so distressed by the evacuation that she stopped eating.
The couple returned to their home on Monday to see what they could salvage, only to find their entire ground floor submerged.
"We can accept losing things like home appliances, but... it hurts that our memories are all gone," said Hiroko Fukuda.
Other stories of personal difficulty have also emerged.
Two sisters, aged nine and six, who attended an elementary school with just six students on the small island of Nuwa, have died after the landslide swept away their home early on Saturday.
A three-year-old whose home was hit by a landslide in Hiroshima has also died, according to a Reuters report.

Cristiano Ronaldo: Juventus sign Real Madrid forward for £99.2m

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Juventus, becoming one of the four most expensive players of all time.
A deal worth 112m euros (£99.2m) has been reached between the two clubs that has seen the Portuguese sign a four-year deal with the Italian champions.
Ronaldo, 33, won four Champions League titles in his nine years at Real.
"The time has come to open a new stage in my life, that's why I asked the club to accept transferring me," he said.
The top two world record transfer fees have been paid out by Paris St-Germain - the £200m they paid Barcelona for Brazil forward Neymar last August, and the fee of around £166m for France forward Kylian Mbappe in July after a successful season on loan with PSG.
Barcelona also paid Liverpool £142m for Brazil midfielder Philippe Coutinho in January. For Juventus, the fee they will pay for Ronaldo is set to eclipse the £75.3m they paid for forward Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli in July 2016.
Juventus are set to play Real Madrid in a pre-season International Champions Cup tournament in the United States, with the match taking place at FedEx Field in Washington on Saturday, 4 August.

Brock Lesnar: Former UFC heavyweight champion can return in January 2019

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will be eligible to return from a drugs ban in January 2019.
The 40-year-old has re-entered the US Anti-Doping Agency (Usada) drug testing pool and can compete in UFC after his ban expires early next year.
Lesnar failed two doping tests in 2016 and then retired from the sport.
The WWE wrestler confronted new heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 226 on Saturday, sparking speculation of a fight between the two.
Lesnar beat Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in July 2016, winning the $2.5m (£2m) purse.
But he failed a drugs test taken before the bout and another on fight night, and was then suspended from competition for a year by Usada, which administers the UFC's doping policy.
Usada said it has received notice of Lesnar's intent to return to UFC and he re-entered the testing pool on 3 July - meaning he must serve the remaining six months of his ban.
"Lesnar will be able to compete on or after January 8, 2019, should he remain in compliance with the UFC Anti-Doping Policy," Usada said in a statement,
Lesnar won the UFC heavyweight title in just his third fight for the promotion, beating Randy Couture in November 2008.
He defended the belt twice before losing it to Cain Velasquez in October 2010, and he lost to Alistair Overeem in December 2011 in his final fight before his 2016 comeback.

Kiwi UFC fighter to share Māori culture on global stage

a man holding a sign
Kiwi UFC featherweight Shane Young has battled with a variety of adversaries over the past 12 months, the least of which have come inside the Octagon.
The 24-year-old was literally called from his couch to debut in the world's premier mixed martial arts promotion last November, a welcome opportunity that came at a rather inopportune time.
"I was in a weird space at the time," Young told Newshub. "I went through a period of change, especially with my Māori culture.
"I was really anti it for a couple of years and I didn’t realise I was, until I'd reimmersed myself in it.
"I can't believe all I would think about was the stats of Māori, and not think about the people and beautiful places that I came from, which was really strange."
Spurred on by his girlfriend, who is also of mixed race, Young underwent a cultural reawakening, reconnecting with his Māori heritage and embracing his ancestry wholeheartedly.
"When she spoke Māori, it just inspired me," Young recalled.
"She taught me not to be whakamā about even just trying to speak it. Sometimes, you don’t want other people thinking you're being a try-hard."
The culmination of such lessons will come to bear in Singapore on Sunday night (NZ time).
Young will proudly fly the Tino rangatiratanga flag - a symbol of Māori sovereignty - as he makes his entrance to the Octagon, the first fighter ever to do so on MMA's biggest stage.
"I finally got it approved by the Ministry of Culture and Heritage, so it's coming over with my coach," said Young.
"I want to do it for my community and where I'm from. I want to be an inspiration to them.
"It also helps me and gives me mana. My ancestors were warriors, fighting to the death in battle.
"I'll talk about it and I'll say Māori words, and it gives me goosebumps. You can't fake that stuff, it gives you power."
The seed was planted when Young saw Australia's Tai Tuivasa take to the Octagon at UFC 225 in Chicago, holding the Aboriginal flag aloft.
"Talking to him about the Aboriginal culture just reaffirmed it for me.
"Carrying a flag doesn’t seem like a huge thing, but when I saw the support and how it inspired people, I realised how big a deal it was."
But 'Sugar' isn't done there.
Should his hand be raised in victory following his bout with Filipino Rolando Dy, Young intends to conduct part of the post-fight interview in Māori, in front of 12,000 in attendance and a massive global television audience.
It's a chance for Young to put into practice what he's learnt at the Te Reo classes he's been frequenting.
"Some people don’t even know there are free lessons," Young noted. "Even if I could just tell them, that could motivate maybe five people to try them out.
"I hope it inspires other UFC fighters to share in their culture, not just Māori."
Of course, he needs to get past Dy (9-6) first.
The limitations of an eight-day preparation were clear to see that November night in Sydney, against rising Australian featherweight Alexander Volkanovski. Young admits he may have fallen victim to distraction.
"I was focussing on fighting, but I was thinking 'I know the UFC is going to come', but for now, I'm just concentrating on me. I wasn't training as much.
"I felt like I did really well in the fight straight afterwards, I was on this mean buzz. Then I watched it and compared it to all my others fights, and it's my worst-ever performance."
A few days' reflection helped Young (11-4) realise that, despite the unanimous-decision loss, he was far from out of his depth.
Now with the benefit of fulltime training at City Kickboxing, NZ's unofficial combat headquarters, he's sharpening his steel against the likes of UFC fighters Dan Hooker and Israel Adesanya on a daily basis.
His intentions against Dy are clear and concise – to embrace the contest and express himself.
"I really want to put this boy down," Young says emphatically. "I want to showcase my skills, show the fighter that I am.
"Fighting is the truest form of expression. At those highest levels, part of your personality gets let out.

"I'm going to show the person that I am, the mana that I hold and carry my people with me."

Experts say psychological impact of family separation on par with abuse

There’s a vivid term mental health experts use to describe the destruction of the love of life in another human being, especially in a child: It's called “soul murder.” It can happen as a result of physical abuse, they say, but just as easily, as a result of psychological violence, including when children are separated from their parents.
“Two of the most damaging childhood adversities are loss of the attachment bond with the parents and childhood physical and sexual abuse,” University of Texas psychiatry professor Luis Zayas told ABC News. “If you want to damage someone permanently, expose him or her to one or both of these traumas.”
Speaking to the National Sheriffs' Association Monday, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said that "it is important to note that these minors are very well taken care of — don’t believe the press. They are very well taken care of.”
Maybe so, but for children and adolescents forced separation is still psychological damaging, whatever the physical circumstances of the facility where they are housed.
“No amount of colorful rooms with lots of great toys, regular meals, and health and education services takes away the psychological impact of losing your parents,” said Zayas, the dean of UT Austin’s School of Social Work. “The damage that will be done will last a lifetime.”After visiting a shelter in Texas, the president of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Colleen Kraft, in a television interview, likened what she saw to abuse.
"It is a form of child abuse," Kraft told CBS News. "This type of trauma can be long-lasting, and it's difficult to recover from this. We know very young children go on to not develop their speech, not develop their language, not develop their gross and fine motor skills and wind up with developmental delays."The Trump administration claims that the repurposed box stores and makeshift facilities now holding the migrant children separated from their parents are air-conditioned, with lessons and sports to divert the mind and body, safe beds to sleep in, and regular meals. Even if that’s true, experts say, to the children confined inside, it can feel like prison.
“Detention of any kind—especially when separated from primary caretakers—will exacerbate symptoms, increasing the severity of trauma-related symptoms, depression, and anxiety,” says Jodi Berger Cardoso of the University of Houston. “Children become hopeless and shut down from the stress. During this time, they need their primary caretaker to help reassure them that they are safe and loved. This cannot be done by strangers, no matter the quality of the facility.”
There’s a reason social workers are loathed to take children away from their parents unless it really is a matter of life and death: Study after study has found that children who are removed do no better than those who are left at home, even in terrible circumstances. One explanation is that any positive benefits of removal are outweighed by the serious trauma caused by separation.
“We do not want to separate children from their parents,” said Attorney General Jeff Sessions Monday at the same event where Nielsen spoke. “But we do have a policy of prosecuting adults who flout our laws to come here illegally.”
But the fact that there is a legitimate political debate over the rule of law and the morality of breaking up families doesn’t negate the poisonous legacy of policies that pull families apart – policies like slavery, the forced assimilation of Native American and Australian aboriginal children, and the separation of parent and child on the southern border – different in scale, but not in effect on individual children.
“Even a week in detention, under circumstances like the ones we’re seeing in immigration enforcement, can be devastating,” says Zayas. “Young children’s incapacity to understand time makes 50 days equal to 50 months, they simply cannot grasp it. Just look at how children view a school day of six hours or even a visit to some boring relatives’ home, as an eternity.”
The feeling of loss is so profound that it can trigger serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia, or cause what psychologists call dissociation – the sense of being an observer over your own body - a dangerous mental rupture that can lead to serious problems including multiple personality disorders.
“Daily life for children becomes very difficult. Getting up, going to school, taking care of themselves, feels like impossible tasks,” says the University of Houston’s Berger Cardozo, who has done extensive research on detained migrant children. “Like anyone who is in a heightened state of fear and isolation, it triggers fight or flight responses in our body. Children may try to fight through their emotions but eventually, their bodies and minds will be overwhelmed with the stress and they will begin to shut down.”
“Whether its drug abuse or crime or deviations and perversities or mental health problems or inability to function in society or suicide, the damage will take its course,” says Zayas. “Long-term psychological problems emerge and chronic illnesses appear in early adulthood that plague the person for the rest of their lives. Their lives are shortened.”
Even if they do understand that the parent is alive and that they will likely be reunited after the process works itself out, it can still feel to a child like a parent had gone forever, Zayas worries that the worst fears of the children may come true.
In May, the Department of Health and Human Services, which is responsible for the children’s wellbeing and reunification, told Congress that it had lost track of 1,475 children who had crossed the U.S.-Mexico border alone and were then placed with U.S. sponsors in 2017.
“These children will live in hope of reuniting but mostly they will be forgotten,” says Zayas. “Considering the vast numbers of children in over 14 states, the government and contract agencies will surely lose records, fail to keep track of parents’ whereabouts, and fail to reunite children with their parents.”

Pete Davidson talks about his engagement to Ariana Grande on “The Tonight Show”

Pete Davidson was on The Tonight Show last night. His first TV appearance since the news broke that he and pop singer Ariana Grande were engaged. While the SNL star was on the show to promote his new Netflix movie, Set It Up that was obviously not the question everyone had on the top of their minds. Davidson stated that being engaged was “F*ckin’ Lit” and compared it to when Derek Jeter retired and Nike ran commercials with everyone tipping their hat to him as he walked down the street. He also managed to make the interview about the other guest, Robert Pattinson as he expressed his love for a movie Pattinson starred in, going as far as introducing a clip from the 2 year old movie.

"That's because that's all they have to disparage! We got so much for peace in the world, & more is being added in finals. Even got our hostages/remains!" he added.
